Number of days of continuous operation

Kobelco Eco-Solutions has achieved continuous operation for 90 or more days ,which is a proof of stable operation, at all of the facilities we have delivered, and they continue to operate safely. Also, one facility has achieved a record 308 days of continuous operation.

Energy recovery efficiency

Waste power generation is attracting a great deal of attention as the world faces global warming and the rising fuel costs. Kobelco Eco-Solutions' fluidized-bed gasification and melting facilities produce a low volume of exhaust gas because of a low air ratio, and features higher energy recovery efficiency as with power generation. Because of the simple configuration, power consumption is low and a high generating efficiency has been achieved.

Operators

The system can be run with a crew of 4 or 5 people, which includes waste crane operation and plant patrol surveillance. The system is supervised by an automatic control system, so no special advanced skills are required.

Risk management

Kobelco Eco-Solutions was the first company in Japan to introduce risk assessment for waste management facilities, and we have established an expertise in determining, controlling, and evaluating risk. Based on this experience we conduct risk assessment for our gasification and melting furnace facilities, and build engineering risk control into plant design and administrative risk control into the operating manual and automated operation system.
