Kobelco Eco-Solutions Vietnam receives orders for 2 water supply

plants using energy-saving technology in Northern Vietnam

Kobelco Eco-Solutions Vietnam Co., Ltd. (KESV) was recently awarded two contracts from Thang Long Water and Beverages Trading Investment JSC (or Thalbeco) and Hoang Mai Water Supply Co., Ltd (or Hoang Mai) to provide water supply plants that use Japanese energy-saving technology. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, KEVS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kobelco Eco-Solutions Co., Ltd. (KES), headquartered in Kobe, Japan.

The award of these orders is attributed to KESV’s proven track record for water supply plants in Vietnam and its technical proposal, which met customer needs for the water quality of water sources, environmental conditions, scale of operation, and other requirements.
The plant for Thalbeco will supply clean drinking water for about 2,000 residences in the Thang Long urban area, Lieu Xa Ward of Yen My District, Hung Yen Province. The facility for Hoang Mai will supply water to an industrial park and around 25,000 residences in Hoang Mai District, Nghe An Province.

With a supply record of over 2,000 units, KES is the top manufacturer of the Automatic Siphon Filter (ASF), a filtration system for small facilities. KES has also supplied around 80 Open-type Siphon Filters (OSF), which are for large-scale facilities.
A special filtration system which uses gravity filtration and the principle of a siphon was adopted for the filtration system of both plants. Control is simplified as a flow controller is unnecessary and electric power and operators can be reduced. Accordingly, operation and maintenance are improved. Found in small to large water supply facilities, these filtration systems are widely used in Japan owing to their energy-saving technologies.

Since its establishment in November 2010, KESV has accumulated an order record for water supply plants and waste water treatment plants covering a wide variety of sectors including steel, galvanizing, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals. KESV aims to contribute to improving the lives of the Vietnamese people and industrial development with its advanced technological capabilities and solutions.
