Kobelco Eco-Solutions awarded contract of
engineering for WtE Project in Thailand

Kobelco Eco-Solutions Co., Ltd. was awarded a contract from Cementhai Energy Conservation Co., Ltd. (CEC), a subsidiary of Siam Cement Group, for basic engineering and supervisory services for installation and commissioning for the waste-to-energy (WtE) plant project in Thailand. This project is the 3^rd international project and the 1^st project in Thailand for us. The ground-breaking ceremony was held by CEC on October 3, 2018.

Kobelco Eco-Solutions Co., Ltd. promotes international business utilizing the fluidized-bed gasification and melting technology. South-East Asia including Thailand is now experiencing a rapid increase of waste generation volume due to the economic development in the region, and high demand for WtE plants is expected. Taking this project opportunity, we will contribute to realization of environmentally-friendly and sustainable circular society through our business expansion in South East Asia including Thailand.
